Dr. Madhu Tandon B.Ed. Faculty of S.S. Khanna Degree College, Prayagraj was established in 2004-05 with NCTE accreditation. It was a program of one year duration and Initial intake was of two units. The faculty is renowned for shaping future educators through a rigorous curriculum that blends theoretical and practical learning. Initially offering a one-year program, it has evolved into a two-year B.Ed. program following the Choice Based Credit System since 2015-17. Syllabus is aligning with the regulation of University of Allahabad and is designed around 80 credits over four Semesters. This program can be completed in a maximum of three years. It emphasizes the development of effective teaching skills, discipline, and is fully CBT or computer-based teaching with the comprehensive use of ICT in education. The institute conducts a highly valuable regular internship program for every batch for actual teaching practice in real classroom situation collaborating with nearby government secondary schools. As such in the present transforming educational scenario, this course prepares the pupil teacher to teach qualitatively up to the level of intermediate exam system (class 12th) in all the subjects while linguistic efficiency and enrichment is the main focus point of the program. The faculty boasts a high caliber teaching staff experienced in fostering a blend of academic excellence and compassionate teaching. Facilities include a well-stocked Library with internet and database access, regular seminars, and workshops led by esteemed educationists, ensuring students not only meet the current educational demands but also enrolling in various further academic courses.
