On 28th July, 2022 Nand Kishore Khanna Commerce Faculty and Commerce Association of S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College jointly organized a seminar for students titled - "Emerging Career Trends post COVID" for the final year graduates. This seminar was conducted in collaboration and support of XL EDUCATION, Prayagraj's leading test-prep institute. The eminent speakers of the event were Mr. Pradip Sengupta, the Director of XL Education, Mr. Sunil Adlakha, the Chief Mentor at XL, Mr. Saurabh Deb and Mr. Vaibhav Gupta.

On 25th August, 2022 Nand Kishore Khanna Commerce Faculty and Commerce

Association of S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College organized a Special Lecture on the

occasion of World Entrepreneurs' Day. The theme of the lecture was

’Entrepreneurship,Innovation and Start-ups’. The special Lecture was conducted in offline

mode by the eminent speaker Dr. Deepak Singh, Assistant Professor, Jaipuria Institute of

Management Lucknow. He is also CEO, Tech Consultant and an Educator.

A Special Lecture on ’Job opportunities in Finance and Financial Services. The special Lecture was conducted in offline mode by the eminent speaker Prof. Sharadkumar Jha, Assistant Director, ITM Business School, Mumbai. 

Student orientation programme for the newly admitted students of B.Com I

Nand Kishore Khanna Commerce Faculty of the college organized a special online lecture on 30th October 2021 to celebrate ‘World Thrift Day.’ Mrs. Shilpi Chaurasia, Manager (MPST), State Bank of India was the resource person. She told the students that from 1924, 31st October is being celebrated as ‘World Thrift Day’ in the entire world but in India it is celebrated on 30th October which is also known as ‘World Savings Day’. This day is celebrated to make the people aware about the significance of savings and promote them to deposit their savings in banks rather than keeping it at home. She emphasized on the relevance and importance of savings and informed about the availability of various types of bank accounts and insurance schemes. She also mentioned many examples to clarify the misconceptions associated with the concept of savings. Coordinator of Commerce Faculty, Dr. Ritu Jaiswal welcomed the resource person and senior faculty member Dr. Meena Chaturvedi proposed vote of thanks. 

National Online Commerce Quiz Competition 2021

Nand Kishore Khanna Commerce Faculty and Commerce Association of S. S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College, Prayagraj organized national level online commerce quiz competition 2021. 3 days quiz competition was conducted from 28th September to 30th September, 2021 for undergraduate commerce students. 989 students participated in this quiz competition from various states across the country. Maximum entries were received from Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Chattishgarh, and Delhi. 805 participants have successfully passed the Quiz and received an e-certificate. Archie Mittal and Yashasvi Agarwal of Jiwaji University Gwalior topped the Quiz with 92% marks.

Special Lecture on GOODS & services tax

The Commerce Association and Nand Kishore Khanna Commerce Faculty of S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College organized a Special Lecture on GST via Google Meet on 26th August, 2021. The eminent speaker on the topic was Dr. Ekta Verma, Assistant Professor, Department of Commecre,University of Allahabad. The guest was formally welcomed by Vice Principal of the College, Dr. Neerja Sachdeva . Commerce Coordinator, Dr. Ritu Jaiswal introduced the speaker to the audience. Dr. Verma started her lecture by sharing a quote of Tulsi das and linked that quote with GST. She further explained meaning, history and benefits of GST.  The formal vote of thanks was accorded by Dr. Meena Chaturvedi. Commerce Coordinator, Dr. Ritu Jaiswal along with all faculty members of commerce department were present during the session. The programme was formally conducted by Dr. Shiv Shankar Shukla. Students of B.com Part 2 and Part3 entusuiastically participated in this programme.

The COVID-19 has resulted in educational institutions shut all across the world. Globally, more than a billion children are out of the classroom. As a result, education has changed dramatically, with this aspect in mind, an online educational talk on ‘How studies should be done during Pandemic’ was organized by the Nand Kishore Khanna Commerce Faculty on 30^th January, 2021. The speaker of the session was Dr. A. C Pandey, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce and Business Administration, University of Allahabad.

Dr. Pandey said that studying from home doesn’t have to be boring or unnecessarily complicated. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of online learning varies amongst age groups.

Dr Pandey in his discussion with the students gave suggestions of how to plan out the studies while studying remotely in order to maintain the educational benchmark. Principal, Prof. Lalima Singh welcomed the guest and coordinator, Dr. Neerja Sachdev gave vote of Thanks. Commerce Faculty members were also present during the talk.

9^th Prof. G.C. Agrawal Memorial Inter Unit Paper Writing & Quiz Competition 2018

A special lecture on “Digital Marketing” was organized by the Department of Commerce, S.S.Khanna  Girls’ Degree College on 28^th September 2018.  Mr. Rahul Pandey and Mr. Shahbaz Hasssan Directors of NDMIT (National  Digital Marketing Institute of training) were the guest speakers of the session. 

A Parent-Teacher Meet was organized by Commerce Faculty on 5^th October 2018. The parents captivatingly participated in the meeting and discussed their issues with the teacher.  Special emphasis was given on mandatory 75% attendance in the class carrying driving license and wearing a helmet by the students while entering the college premises.
