About the Library

The library in Sadanlal Sanwaldas Khanna Mahila Mahavidyalay has been functioning since the inception of the college. The library has a separate building known as Shyam Nath Kakkar Library. The total collection of the library is 27000 as on March 2018. The library subscribes 50 journals, 30 Magazines and 12 news papers regularly. The library provides services to the students, teachers, and staff of college. The library has 7 staff. Library is closed access however students can access the stack on request.

Details of Library

• Working hours of the Library is from 10 am to 5 pm on all working days. It is closed on Sundays and other gazette holidays.
• A reading room with reference books, encyclopedia, magazines, journals, periodicals, newspapers is open for both students and staff members.
• The reading room is also equipped with Numbers of computers with internet facility for both teachers and students.
• Total 7 Staff is involved in library

Library Services

• Entry to the Library is restricted only to the authorized members of the College with Identity Card.
• Every user must sign the register available at the entrance.
• Personal reading materials e.g. books, journals, magazines, etc. are not allowed inside the library.
• Personal belongings like bags, umbrellas etc are to be kept at property counter. Library reserves the right to check the contents of the items deposited at property counter.
• Writing and highlighting in books is not allowed.
• Newspapers and magazines must be read only in the library on specific tables and should not be taken to other reading areas.
• No library material can be taken out from the library without permission.
• Readers should not shelve books and periodicals as that disturb the prescribed order.
• Anyone who violates the rules and regulations of the library would be liable to lose the privilege of library membership.
• Photography is strictly prohibited.
• Text Books to be issued for 15 days only for the B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com students.
• Late fines at the rate Rs.5/= per day will be charged.
• Any type of fine, the same is to be deposited at the circulation counter.
