Saroj Lalji Mehrotra Centre of Legal Studies, S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College, Prayagraj hosted a programme On 26 August 2022 to raise awareness on Women's Equality Day with the slogan #EqualityCan'tWait. The event commenced with a motivational speech by Dr. (Prof.) Lalima Singh, the Principal of the college in which she stated that even though women were granted the right to vote in 1920, we still need to hold an awareness day for women's equality because women still don't feel equal in society. With this, she urged the female students to better themselves, to take advantage of every chance to succeed in their occupations and social life, and to learn about their rights and place in modern society.

Saroj Lalji Mehrotra Centre of Legal Studies, S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College, Prayagraj organized an Inaugural Event of “Parizaad,” the Theatre Club and “Clique,” the Literary and Oratory Club on 25^th of August, 2022.The event commenced with a devotional tribute, Vandana, sung by the students of Department of Legal Studies. After both the clubs were introduced by the students, there had been a dance performance by students dressed up in traditional and modern apparels to exhibit the fusion of the old and contemporaneous times. This performance was followed by a poem recitation of apowerful and inspiring poem entitled ‘Parizaad’ and a book review of Khaled Hosseini’s ‘The Kite Runner’.

The students apprised the audience of the four branches of the club “Clique.” The first branch, Promising Pages would help in the enhancement of legal writing and in assisting students throughout the process of submission of research papers. In the second branch, Pursuing the Dispute, students will be prepared for the debate competitions and speeches. Events regarding declamations, JAMs, extempore and MUNs on monthly and yearly basis will also be organized. Students good at journaling will get a chance to improve their skills through the third branch of Clique, namedOwl Post. The last branch, Books with a Crew will encourage students to have fruitful discussions on their favorite books. In the theatre club, Parizaad, students will conduct theatre plays, nukkadnataks, case law enactments, workshops and plays on legal and social issues. They will also provide legal aid and promote awareness through workshops and campaigns.

To mark the beginning of the many theatre plays that will be performed under the aegis of the club Parizaad, the last performance was that of a play entitled ‘Dil Hai Ki MaantaNahi, Phone Hai ki Chhoot’taNahi,’ where students along with performing the play sung ‘Jingles.’

These clubs were formed to help the students to explore their potential and experiment with their creativity to achieve caliber and excellence in the field of their interest. The students would be able to speak up and put their thoughts and opinions more confidently and clearly. To sum up, through these endeavours, we aim to cultivate an atmosphere of intellectual curiosity and to build confidence in the students not only professionally, but also socially.

The event came to an end with the blessings of Justice Arun Tandon. He appreciated the endeavours of the students and the faculty members of the Department of Legal Studies in taking the initiative to start these clubs.

The Principal of the college, Dr. (Prof) Lalima Singh and all the faculty members of the Saroj Lalji Mehrotra Centre of Legal Studies, namely Ms. Subodhika Sharma, Ms. Mohini Shukla, Ms. Riya Sinha, Mrs. Pallavi Gupta, Mr. Rohit Rohilla,Mr. Pratyush Pandey, Ms. Anshi Agarwal, Ms. Neha Tiwari, Ms. Chetna Anjum, Ms. Prachi Kumari and Ms. Apoorva Singhwere present in this event. Faculty members and students of other faculties were also present.

The last date for the submission of essays for DAMODARSHREE, 2022 has now been extended because of certain unexpected circumstances upto 20 September 2022.

DAMODARSHREE, National Award Ceremony for Academic Excellence, 2022 will now be held on 15 October 2022.

To bring awareness about health and meditation amongst students, a yoga training two days workshop was conducted at DR.MADHU TANDON B.ED FACULTY, S.S.KHANNA GIRLS' DEGREE COLLEGE , ALLAHABAD, on 17.02.2021 and 18.02 2021. All types of  yogasanas ,namely first of all warm up exercises, then, SURYANAMASKAR,TADASAN,VRIKSHANANA,UTKATASANA,HALASANA UTTANPADASANA,TRIKONASANA,SHAVASANA,ANULOMVILOM,ANULOMVILOMA, BHASTRIKA, BHRAMARI and in the end meditation sessions were carried on.The training was given by the trainer MR.PRASHANT TIWARI. Workshop was inaugurated by Principal of the college, Professor Lalima Singh and Coordinator of B.Ed ,Dr.Manjari Shukla. Program was organized by Dr.Aruna Tripathi. Thanks was given by Dr. Ranjana Tripathi. All the faculty members were present in the workshop.

According to Principal, S.S. Khanna Girls' Degree College, Allahabad, B.Ed. Admission Cut Off Merit list, commerce and Science has been pasted on 01.12.2020 on the notice board of the college. The female candidates whose names are there in the list and who have taken the Counselling Forms should report to the B.Ed faculty for admission. At a distinguished virtual talk hosted by the Centre of Legal Studies, S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College, on ‘Democracy and Nation-Building’, Founding Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Allahabad, Prof. Rajen Harshe, an eminent political scientist, had a candid interaction with students and faculty members. 

Remembering his days at Allahabad, He said, “It’s an honour to return to Allahabad in any capacity. I was reborn in this city in many ways.”

He said, “For the last 70 years, Indian State is trying to use democracy as a tool to achieve nation-building.” He tried to locate an idea of India in the life and works of Gandhi, Nehru, Savarkar, Ambedkar and Tagore.  Drawing from ideas of some of these thinkers, he argued, that India to emerge as a powerful nation it must learn to celebrate its diversity and be more appreciative of the plurality of opinions.

On a question of the role of individual and institution in the nation-building, he said, at a time when our democracy is having a ‘weakest opposition’, it is imperative for our citizens to be more vigilant and discharge their responsibilities as they ever did before. Underlining the role played by the Allahabad High Court in the famous Indira Gandhi election case, he said, robust institutions with competent persons at the helm can give a ray of hope in the gloomiest hours.

Dear Students,

Greetings to you all!

 I take this opportunity to address PG, B.Ed and BALLB students for the ongoing academic session 2019-20. As the nation is undergoing a major challenge to eradicate the COVID 19 pandemic, we at SSKGDC have decided to conduct online classes for our students. Please utilize this lockdown period in the most effective manner. The online classes will be delivered through an app called Google Classroom. You are requested to download the same. Day-wise time table for classes will be communicated in advance through class groups by the respective faculty member. Students will be provided with notes and assignments through WhatsApp class groups. Further subject teachers will also send ebooks in their respective groups. In case of technical issues such as connectivity, I assure that the topics taught online will be covered again by the teachers when the college reopens if classroom teaching is possible.

At the end I would like to say that ‘Tough times don't last, tough people, do’. In the middle of difficulties, lies an opportunity. So let’s use this opportunity to learn better, be focused and make the best use of technology by connecting to online classes. Together we can overcome this difficult time.

सदनलाल सांवलदास खन्ना महिला महाविद्यालय, प्लेगेरिज्म समिति द्वारा UGC-CPE- II के अन्तर्गत 05/02/2020 को "Plagiarism Ethics in Academic Writing" पर एक दिवसीय सिम्पोसियम आयोजित किया गया l मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय के पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष  डॉ. बी.के. सिंह ने शैक्षिक गुणवत्ता एवं अकादमिक सत्यनिष्ठा पर अपने सारगर्भित विचार रखे तथा उन तथ्यों से शिक्षको एवं छात्राओं को अवगत कराया, जिससे कि शैक्षिक लेखन में गुणवत्ता लाया जा सके द्य उन्होंने  प्लेगेरिज्म के बारे में विस्तृत विचार रखते हुए बताया कि शोध प्रबंध एवं लेख लेखन में काँपी एवं पेस्ट करने से बचे तथा जहाँ आवश्यक हो संदर्भ आवश्यक रूप से दें तथा अकादमिक सत्यनिष्ठा को बनाए रखें l प्लेगेरिज्म से बचने के तरीके के बारे में भी अवगत कराते हुए अनेक प्लेगेरिज्म डिटेक्सन टूल्स के बारे में बताया गया l इसी  सन्दर्भ में उन्होंने गूगल स्कालर प्रोफाइल, विद्वान् डेटाबेस में रजिस्ट्रेशन एवं जर्नल को पियर रिव्यू बनाने की प्रक्रिया पर विस्तार से प्रकाश डालाl

The voting for Student Council Election of S.S. Khanna Girls’ Degree College was conducted on 17.09.2019. For the first phase voting for the Student Representative of Arts faculty, Science faculty, Commerce Faculty and Law faculty was successfully conducted. 

Counting of votes, and the announcement of the names of selected candidates for the post of President, Vice President, General Secretary, Joint Secretary, Cultural Secretary, Outstanding Sportsperson, Discipline and Ethics Representative, S.C., S.T. and OBC Representative shall be announced on 18.08.2019

Prof. Lalima Singh, Principal, Dr. Alpana Agarwal, Vice Principal were present as observers.  Dr. Rita Chauhan was the Returning officer. Chief Proctor. Dr. Manjari Shukla along with her entire proctorial team conducted the event successfully. 

दिनांक 13.11.2019 को महाविद्यालय में संगीत विभाग की असोसिएट प्रोफेसर डॉ. संध्या अरोरा का विदाई समारोह सम्पन्न हुआ। इस अवसर पर महाविद्यालय अधिशासी निकाय की अध्यक्ष डॉ. आशा सेठ, प्राचार्या प्रो. लालिमा सिंह, न्यायमूर्ति श्री अरूण टण्डन, कोषाध्यक्ष श्री दिलीप मेहरोत्रा ने डॉ. संध्या अरोरा को शॉल एवं स्मृति चिन्ह तथा 21000/- रूपये का चेक देकर सम्मानित किया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ. रेखा रानी ने किया। इस अवसर पर उनके सम्मान में विदाई संगीत कार्यक्रम तथा अध्यापको ने अनुभव साझा किये। इस अवसर पर महाविद्यालय के समस्त शिक्षक वर्ग व गैर शैक्षणिक कर्मचारी उपस्थित रहे।

एस.एस. खन्ना महिला महाविद्यालय का वार्षिकोत्सव ’’उदिता’’ आज दिनांक 23.11.2019 को महाविद्यालय प्रेक्षागृह में सांस्कृतिक रंगारंग कार्यक्रम के साथ संपन्न हुआ।  कार्यक्रम का शुभारम्भ मुख्य अतिथि प्रो. पी. नागभूषण (निदेशक, IIIT, प्रयागराज) द्वारा दीप प्रज्जवलन से हुआ।  तत्पश्चात डॉ. प्रियंका मलिक पाण्डेय, डॉ. पार्थ डे के निर्देशन में छात्राओं ने गणेश वंदना, ’’मंगलदाता बुद्धि विधाता . . . ’’ प्रस्तुत किया।  इस अवसर पर शास्त्रीय संगीत और पाश्चात्य वाद्य यंत्रो का संगम ’’फ्यूजन’’ डॉ. प्रियंका मलिक पाण्डेय, डॉ. पार्थ डे, डॉ. राकेश के निर्देशन में प्रस्तुत किया गया।  तत्पश्चात् प्रेमचन्द की प्रसिद्ध कहानी ’’बूढ़ी काकी’’ का छात्राओं ने मंचन कर बुढ़ापे के दंश को रेखांकित किया।  नाटक का निर्देशन डॉ. ममता भटनागर, डॉ. बलदीप कौर द्वारा किया गया था।  कार्यक्रम के अगले सोपान में राजस्थानी लोक नृत्य ’’घूमर’’ का प्रस्तुतिकरण छात्राओं ने किया, जिसका निर्देशन डॉ. सौम्या कृष्ण, डॉ. श्रद्धा राय ने किया था।  पुरा छात्रा समिति द्वारा कजरी नृत्य, प्रस्तुत किया गया, जिसकी भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा हुई।  प्राचार्या प्रो. लालिमा सिंह ने विविध संकायों/क्षेत्रों में महाविद्यालय, शिक्षकों, छात्राओं द्वारा अर्जित उत्कृष्ट उपलब्धियों को विस्तार रूप में रखते हुए महाविद्यालय की वार्षिक आख्या 2018-19 प्रस्तुत किया।  अपने उद्बोधन में मुख्य अतिथि ने वार्षिक रिपोर्ट और छात्राओं द्वारा प्रस्तुत कार्यक्रमों की प्रशंसा करते हुए महाविद्यालय को उत्कृष्ट शैक्षिक संस्थान बताते हुए कहा कि शिक्षा का उद्देश्य परीक्षा और प्रमाणपत्र बाँटना नहीं, बल्कि कर्मठ, ईमानदार तथा सच्चे मानव का निर्माण करना होना चाहिऐ।  उन्होंने छात्राओं को जीवनपर्यन्त सीखते रहने, अनुशासन में रहने और अच्छा मानव बनने के लिए अभिप्रेरित किया।  मुख्य अतिथि को श्री दिलीप मेहरोत्रा ने स्मृति चिन्ह एवं अंगवस्त्रम भेंट कर सम्मानित किया।  इस अवसर पर अतिथि द्वारा महाविद्यालय की विविध संकायों में सर्वोच्च अंक प्राप्त छात्राओं को मेडल (पदक अलंकरण) प्रदान किया गया।

विज्ञान संकाय की सर्वोत्कृष्ट छात्रा शानिया रिजवान (बी.एस.सी. तृतीय वर्ष) को सत्र 2018-19 का डॉ. मधु टंण्टन गोल्ड मेडल, वाणिज्य संकाय की सर्वोत्कृष्ट छात्रा रकीबा खान (बी.कॉम. तृतीय वर्ष) को सत्र 2018-19 का गायत्री राज नारायण धवन गोल्ड मेडल, कला संकाय की सर्वोत्कृष्ट छात्रा अनमता नकवी (बी.ए. तृतीय वर्ष) को सत्र 2018-19 का मनोहर दास खन्ना गोल्ड मेडल,  बी.एड. संकाय की सर्वोत्कृष्ट छात्रा अनुपमा शुक्ला को (बी.एड.) सत्र 2018-19 का अशोक मोहिले गोल्ड मेडल, विज्ञान प्रौद्योगिकी की सर्वोत्कृष्ट छात्रा सना फात्मा (बायोटेक) को सत्र 2018-19 का राम भूषण मेहरोत्रा गोल्ड मेडल, सत्र 2018-19 का महाविद्यालय का प्रतिष्ठित सर्वोच्च पदक प्रो. डी.डी. खन्ना प्रसिडेन्ट गोल्ड मेडल विज्ञान संकाय की छात्रा शानिया रिजवान एवं सर्वश्रेष्ठ छात्रा का पुरस्कार का बी.एड. संकाय की छात्रा अनुपमा शुक्ला को प्रदान किया गया।  मोहिनी अमर नाथ टण्डन स्मृति सम्मान विज्ञान संकाय की शानिया रिजवान, अलीना शोबिया, संगीत की काजल सिंह पटेल को पुरस्कार स्वरूप चेक, मेडल, प्रमाणपत्र प्रदान किया गया।  सर्वज्ञेष्ठ एन.सी.सी. कैडेट का मेडल और प्रमाण पत्र क्रमशः रोशनी (प्रथम स्थान) तथा आकांक्षा तिवारी (द्वितीय स्थान) को प्रदान किया गया। 

  कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ. सौम्या कृष्ण, स्वागत डॉ. आशा सेठ (अध्यक्ष, अधिशासी निकाय, एस.एस. खन्ना महिला महाविद्यालय) तथा धन्यवाद प्राक्टर डॉ. मंजरी शुक्ला ने दिया।  इस अवसर पर माननीय न्यायमूर्ति श्री अरूण टंण्डन, श्री अमित खन्ना, श्री दिलीप मेहरोत्रा, प्राचार्या प्रो. लालिमा सिंह, डॉ. आशा सेठ, डॉ. एस.के. सेठ, श्रीमती अंशिका बुद्धवार, डॉ. आर के टण्डन, प्रो. पी.एन. मेहरोत्रा सहित अनेक गणमान्य व्यक्ति तथा शिक्षकगण एवं छात्रायें उपस्थित थी।

Navonmesh 2019

छात्र कल्याण परिषद, सदनलाल सांवलदास खन्ना महिला महाविद्यालय, इलाहाबाद के तत्वाधान में दिनांक 07 सितम्बर 2019 को  महाविद्यालय की सभी नवागत छात्राओं के लिये कार्यक्रम ‘‘Navonmesh’’ आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम का आरम्भ स्वागत गीत के साथ हुआ। इस अवसर पर छात्राओं द्वारा गीत और नृत्य प्रस्तुत किये गये। सेजल द्वारा ‘‘घर मोरे परदेसिया/आओ पधारो पिया’’ नृत्य की मोहक प्रस्तुति ने सबका मन मोह लिया।
